"I love to run on single-track trail in beautiful locations with lots of elevation change and obstacles such as rock-hopping, downed trees, and creek crossings, or better yet, river crossings where you have to swim for it. I love fun runs that have no particular route, pace, or time limit. This type of run can be very satisfying as a solo run, but is way better with like-minded friends. It's crazy the new things one can discover when you just roam freestyle. The third type of running that comes to mind is when I am in a new city or natural location and I just go out to explore. I feel that its the best way to discover a place. The natural high that running gives effectively enhances the experience because it tends to improve ones mood and thereby creates a more positive and generally more enjoyable experience versus a simple walk or drive." -- Mike, NRC Staff #loverunning
